KG (“AbbVie”) handles personal data that it collects and receives from users through forms, websites, mobile sites, mobile applications, and other digital and offline services and products controlled by AbbVie that refer to this Privacy Notice (collectively, “AbbVie Services”).

TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT ONLINE

The types of personal data that we may collect and receive while you use the AbbVie Services are described in this section and include both data that you provide to us and data that we collect automatically when you use the AbbVie Services.

For purposes of this Privacy Notice, “Personal Data” means any data related to you as an identified or identifiable natural person. Examples of Personal Data include name, address, telephone number, and email address. When this data is combined with any data on health or medical status, we refer to the resulting information as “Health Data.” We collect your Health Data through AbbVie Services only with your consent or if required by law.

Information You Provide

You do not have to register for a service or program to receive much of the information available through AbbVie Services. However, some of our content is available only to registered or identified users and will require you to set up a profile or provide specific data about yourself in order to provide you the service.

Personal Data You Submit During Registration or in Response to Questionnaires

AbbVie collects Personal Data that you provide on AbbVie Services, for example, through an enrollment form in order to register for AbbVie programs and services, to receive marketing materials and information (if permitted by law), contact AbbVie customer service, or respond to AbbVie questionnaires or surveys. This could include:

• Name and gender
• Contact data such as your address, phone number, or email address
• Registration data such as your username and password
• Health-related, insurance and demographic data, subject to your consent, in the context of a patient support program, survey or questionnaire
• Remuneration data when you provide a service to AbbVie in your capacity as a healthcare professional
• Employment, education and other background data when you inquire about employment with AbbVie
• Professional, clinical practice and educational data when you participate in an AbbVie sponsored program, research or survey in your capacity as a healthcare professional

Personal Data You Submit During Other Interactions with AbbVie

You may contact AbbVie to ask questions, discuss your concerns, or report issues regarding our products. If you communicate with or request information from AbbVie, you may be prompted to provide your contact information as well as any Health-related and/or Personal Data that is relevant to your request.

Data That May Be Collected Automatically

When you use the AbbVie Services, we also may collect certain usage and device data automatically as described below.

IP Address

We may record the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address of your computer or other electronic device when you visit the AbbVie Services. An IP address identifies the electronic device you use to access the Sites, which allows us to maintain communication with your computer as you move about AbbVie Services and to customize content.

Web Tracking, Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We also collect information about your use of AbbVie Services through tracking technologies such as cookies and web beacons. A “cookie” is a unique numeric code that is transferred to your computer to track your interests and preferences and to recognize you as a return visitor. A “Web beacon” is a transparent graphic image placed on a Web site, e-mail or advertisement that enables the monitoring of things such as user activity and site traffic. These technologies help remember your preferences and allow us to bring you the content and features that are likely to be of greatest interest to you on the basis of “clickstream” data that shows your previous activities on AbbVie Services.

User Tracking

To ensure that our website remains up-to-date, user-oriented and fully functional, this website uses a web analysis tool from Adobe (incl. Omniture SiteCatalyst, Omniture TagManager) and/or Matomo/PIWIK (https://matomo.org, contact@innocraft.com, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand) which helps to optimize our services in response to your requirements. Adobe Analytics uses cookies that track your preferences when you visit our website. This makes our website easier to navigate, for example – and helps us to further improve the user-friendliness of our services. The information generated in this way (including the IP addresses) is anonymized by default prior to being saved so that personal identification is not possible. Hence, this website has been adapted to guarantee the anonymized collection of IP addresses (IP masking). Only after such anonymization are data evaluated for the purpose of reporting. The information generated by these cookies is usually transferred to an Adobe server within the European Union. It cannot be ruled out, however, that in case of a technical emergency these data may be transferred to and saved in the USA. As a user of our website, you can of course refuse to accept cookies at any time by changing your browser settings. Most browsers accept cookies by default. If you change this setting, the functionality of our website may be restricted. Further information on cookies and other tracking technology, as well as how to deactivate such tools, can be found at http://youronlinechoices.eu/.

Information on online behavioral advertising

Online behavioral advertising, also referred to as targeting, permits advertising companies to identify users when delivering advertisements and assign them to a target group. This information can be used to deliver more relevant advertisements to the user.

To this end, we use Adobe Campaign and Adobe Analytics (Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, 4-6 Riverwalk, City West Business Campus, Dublin 24, Ireland) on our website to collect and save anonymized data. When you visit our website, a cookie is placed on your computer. It captures information about your activity when visiting websites (e.g. surfing behavior, subpages of websites visited, banners clicked, etc.). Behavioral profiles are created from this information, though they do not permit you to be identified personally.

Tracking on mobile devices

Some AbbVie services are available as mobile applications or on pages for mobile devices that you can access with your mobile device. If you are using a mobile device to access and use AbbVie services, we may also record the following data specific to mobile devices in addition to the information described above: device ID or advertising ID, device type, hardware type, media access control (MAC) address, international mobile station equipment identity (IMEI) number, version of the operating system on your mobile device, the platform you use to access the AbbVie service or download the service (e.g., Apple, Google, Amazon, Windows), along with location information and usage data on your device and your use of the AbbVie services.

Data Collected from Other Sources

We may combine data about you from a visit to one AbbVie Service with data about you from visits to other AbbVie Services. We may also combine data about you that is collected through the AbbVie Services with data that we have collected offline, as well as with data provided to us by third parties.

Third-Party Advertising and Online Behavioral Advertising

If you are a health care professional, you may be provided with online advertisements of AbbVie products and services on third-party websites and mobile services that are tailored to you, for example, on the basis of information that you provide to AbbVie or a third-party website you are visiting, or of your browsing activity, purchases, or interests. Affiliates, Vendors and Suppliers

We have relationships with various vendors and suppliers, including our affiliated companies, who help us operate our business and for whom it may be necessary to have access to your Personal Data in the course of providing services to AbbVie. We will not authorize these parties to use your Personal Data for any purpose that is not related to AbbVie’s business operation, and we require them to handle your Personal Data collected through the AbbVie Services in accordance with appropriate contractual privacy and security provisions and this Privacy Notice.

You should read the individual privacy policies of our co-branding partners, as they may differ in some respects from ours.
